Alex Smith is an artist based in Naarm who specialises in drawing and painting. Her work has garnered several accolades, including the Fire Station Print Studio Award and John Vickery Scholarship. Conceptually, her works are subconsciously motivated. Each work is a spell she casts out, only to be understood later. Typically, her practice delves into the internal landscape of femininity, celebrating its beauty while poignantly addressing feelings of vulnerability. When she isn’t making art or thinking about it, Alex spends her time telling jokes and playing pool.
